I planned a regional alumni-focused event in Phoenix, AZ as part of the S.J. Quinney College of Law’s “SJQ on the Road” event series. I planned this event remotely, but was on-site for the day-of execution.
This event was hosted in coordination with an alum who lives in the local area, who offered to provide space in his office for us free-of-charge. Additionally, I worked with members of our staff to order adequate refreshments in advance and then was on-site to coordinate delivery, pick-up, and set-up. I also coordinated with the College dean to be prepared to give remarks on the state of the law school and engage a Q&A session mid-way through the evening.
The event was successful. It provided a high-value touchpoint for several notable alumni and donors, cultivation of young alumni further along the donor pipeline, and created space for dialogue on the future of legal education and innovative ideas for the College of Law to consider pursuing.
